CORG1 Racing is an independent media, rankings, records, and community platform. CORG1 does not own, operate, or control individual races. Race entry, rules, safety requirements, and official results are controlled by each event organizer. CORG1 classifications and rankings are for community and media purposes.
The Championship
CORG1 Championship points are designed to recognize verified podium performances at sufficiently documented corgi races. Because CORG1 does not operate individual races, points are only awarded when results can be reasonably verified.
Small or lightly documented races may still appear on CORG1 and may still count toward profiles, stories, and community achievements, but they may not affect national championship standings.
At season's end, the top verified point total earns the CORG1 title — alongside rankings, profiles, achievements, and media across the platform.

Event Classification
CORG1 uses three event classifications: Championship Events, Recognized Events, and Community Events. This allows us to celebrate every corgi race while protecting the integrity of the national championship. Large, well-documented races can affect standings. Smaller or casual races can still be listed, celebrated, and included in racer profiles without unfairly impacting the championship.
Not every race needs to affect the national championship. CORG1 celebrates all corgi races, but only sufficiently documented and competitive events affect championship standings.
1. Championship Events
Eligible for full CORG1 Championship points when podium results are verified.
Requirements
- Publicly announced race
- Public registration or clearly documented participant process
- Results publicly posted by the organizer or submitted with enough evidence for CORG1 to verify
- Verifiable podium: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
- Meaningful field size (preferred minimum: 20 racing corgis)
- Run by an established organizer, venue, sports team, festival, corgi club, or recognized public event
- Open enough that it was not effectively a private race among a few dogs

2. Recognized Events
Legitimate corgi races CORG1 can list, track, and include in racer profiles — but they may not qualify for full championship points.
Use this category when the race is real and public, results are partially documented, field size is smaller, or the organizer is legitimate but the event does not meet full Championship Event standards.

Verification System
Only verified data can affect CORG1 Championship points or official rankings. Owner-submitted info can still power community badges, profile completeness, stories, fan voting, and participation-style achievements — when clearly labeled.
Verified
Verified data is information CORG1 has confirmed through public results, organizer confirmation, or clear supporting evidence. Used for podium finishes, championship points, official race dates and locations, verified participation, and event classification status.
Owner Submitted
Owner-submitted data is provided by the dog's owner or community members and may not be independently verified by CORG1. Used for profile info, bios, hometown, photos, self-reported participation, and fun facts.
Rankings rules
Championship Rounds
CORG1 may adjust the tracked schedule if independent events are canceled, postponed, or unavailable. CORG1 does not control those events.
Points System
CORG1 Championship points apply only to verified 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes at Championship Events. Recognized and Community Events may appear on CORG1 but do not award full championship points.
These are CORG1 community points for media and rankings purposes — not official race organizer points. CORG1 cannot guarantee race entries; registration is always through each event organizer.
Submitting & Verifying Results
To submit race results for CORG1 review, please include as much supporting evidence as possible: event name, date, location, organizer, number of participating corgis if known, podium finishers, official result link, photos, videos, or organizer confirmation. CORG1 may classify the event as Championship, Recognized, or Community based on the available information.

Championship Eligibility
CORG1 Championship points apply to purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Cardigan Welsh Corgis at verified Championship Events, per CORG1's championship rules.
Individual races set their own entry requirements, breed rules, and safety standards — CORG1 does not create or enforce those standards and does not imply it sanctions races unless labeled as CORG1-recognized for rankings purposes.
If field size is too small or unclear, CORG1 may classify the race as Recognized or Community instead of Championship. CORG1 may list an event without making it championship eligible.
Championship standings prioritize credibility over quantity of races. Championship points belong to the dog for the CORG1 season record.
Tie Breakers
If competitors finish the season tied on points:
- Most race victories
- Most second-place finishes
- Most third-place finishes
- Best finish in the most recent championship round
Season Awards
CORG1 may recognize season champions with awards. Any purse or prizes are secondary to participation, community, and the national record.
